Hello! this is me, Belette. I´m just a pink weasel pretendint to be an artist.

Born in 1978, Madrid (Spain), I grew in contact with animals and nature and watching documentaries about wildlife since I was a child.

I started painting since my hands could hold a pencil at the age of 4, reading and writing short tales a bit later.

As teenager, I studied Illustration in the Art School, dreaming to be a Disney animator. But life has it own rules and I had to delay my plans, working in many other non-artistic jobs until I could try my art career again. These experiences and my following studies in the Music School, complemented in the self-taught way my artistic-self.

Instead of my current artworks are digital, I do love the traditional media specially mix-media, watercolor and oil.

As a true weasel, I am curious, and like a poet, I´m creative and try to find beauty in every circumstance.

Every experience in life has provided me new versions of myself, often even surprised me, showing my hidden and totally unknow skills that now can inspire my creativity.

Wolves, otters, ferrets, civets and weasels are some of my favorites, and “Weasel Hugs” is my war cry.
